I’m Jazzy Elise, the heart and soul behind Jazzymade. As many of you know, Jazzymade is more than just a business to me—it’s a labor of love, a dream brought to life through passion, creativity, and a deep desire to connect with others through art.
When I created Jazzymade, I had no idea how it would shape up; I just knew I needed a place to call everything that I might create. From my background in architecture and engineering, I’ve always been fascinated by the intersection of functionality and beauty. This fascination led me to create Jazzymade in 2017, where I could blend these elements into original hand-painted artwork that not only decorates but also serves a purpose.
I am often asked why I created the Jazzymade Journal and the Jazzymade Clock. The Jazzymade Journal was the first functional fine art product I created. It provides a way for people to look at the art they were inspired by wherever they are in the world—a beautiful place to record their musings. I truly believe any place can be a creative space. So, I designed a way to take art along for the journey, rather than be left at home on the wall. I always carry a notebook with me to write my ideas, take notes in meetings, or sketch when I see something inspirational.
The clock is an instrument we use to keep time, but I have become so aware of time that I don’t need to check it. I designed a beautiful way to display time, without numbers, to help people be inspired rather than constrained. Art is truly a release from the mundane. Time shouldn’t be a constraint but rather a reminder to live in the moment.
Our journey took a significant leap in 2023 when we expanded into the B2B space, partnering with esteemed retailers like the Metropolitan Opera, Detroit Institute of Arts, Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Chrysler Museum of Art, and Demco Florist in Bermuda. Each partnership is a testament to our commitment to quality and our mission to bring joy and connection through vibrant, functional fine art.
