My husband and I collect art from around the world. We typically only buy originals, and we tend to shop in studios. This piece (and its partner, “Ponder”) are exceptions on both fronts because they were so striking. I saw them on Jazzy’s table at Ponce City Market while visiting Atlanta for a friend’s birthday party, and I raced over immediately. I was a bit disappointed to know that they were canvas prints, rather than original canvas paintings, but they were so beautiful that I bought them anyway. Jazzy shipped them out to our home in Los Angeles, and they became staple pieces in our living room area. The two paintings make the area feel much more personal, and they radiate a feeling of Black Excellence and really mark our home as a place where Blackness is celebrated (which is important in a mixed-race home in one of the whitest parts of Los Angeles)

The artwork on the journals is really dope! I got the planner/calendar journals and the feeling of them and quality are top notch. Even the pages feel amazing. Definitely getting a few more along with that clock I have my eyes on.

Such a beautiful painting! It reminded me of the youth I teach music to. I ended up putting it in the center of my living room above my couch. I came across her artwork at Ponce City Market and it was all so nice!
