The rise of functional art in museum gift shops reflects a growing desire for pieces that are both expressive and useful, and this has always been central to the Jazzymade brand. From the beginning, I created Jazzymade as a place where my ideas could live with purpose—art that carries beauty, intention, and everyday function. My background in architecture and engineering shaped that vision. I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of form and utility, and Jazzymade became the space where I could merge those worlds into pieces created specifically for the brand.
The Jazzymade Journal was the first functional fine art product I designed for the collection. I wanted people to experience the artwork they connected with wherever they were, not only when they were home looking at a wall. A journal becomes a companion—something to write in, sketch in, or carry through the day. I’ve always kept notebooks with me, and creating a Jazzymade version felt like a natural extension of the brand: a way to take art along for the journey.
The Jazzymade Clock grew from a similar intention. Time is something we all interact with, but I’ve become so aware of it that I rarely need to check it. I wanted to design a beautiful way to display time—one that inspires rather than restricts. Removing the numbers was intentional. It shifts the focus from counting minutes to appreciating the moment. Functional art should elevate the everyday, and the clock became a signature example of how Jazzymade blends meaning with design.
For Museum Buyers. Functional art offers visitors something they can use, appreciate, and live with daily. Jazzymade pieces are created with that purpose, giving museums expressive products that resonate long after the visit.
